A bigger, brand new hospital for children and young people is coming to Edinburgh and the Sick Kids Friends Foundation is launching a campaign to raise £15 million to support the new hospital project.

I will do everything I can to ensure you recieve you order in time for Valentine’s Day. In the event that I do not think I will be able to get your order to you before the 14th of February, I will notify you as soon as possible. As a guideline, please place your orders before the following dates to maximise your chance of delivery.

For a long time I have been listing the prices of my hangings and chains seperately from the pendants. This is because I prefer the look of the more expensive sterling silver chains and they add a reasonable amount onto the cost of your jewellery.

From now on, all pendants include a silver plated 18” chain for free with the order. You still have the option to upgrade to Sterling Silver or a satin cord if you are looking for something a little special, but now you can wear my pendants straight out the box.

I’m getting quite twitchy about it now. I’ve not done any jewellery making for over three weeks and I can’t wait to get back to it.

I’ve got a few ideas for some Swarovski pieces that I fancy working on. More like complete ranges of themed necklaces rather than the pendants I normally do. I’m just getting an itch to push my design muscle beyond making up more pendants.

The only problem is that I think they are going to come in a fair bit more expensive than my normal range, and there are better places I could be spending my money than holding onto more expensive stock at this time of year.

What do people think, are you a Swarovski fan?

I’m doing a push to try and get my Facebook Page up to 100 fans before I reprint my business cards. When I have 100 members I can get a special page address that can atually be remembered by real live humans rather than only computers :-)

I know it’s short notice, but I’ve just been informed that I’ve managed to get one of the cancellation slots at the Arts Market at the Drill Hall on Dalmeny Street. So it’ll be a busy weekend for me this weekend. Gullane on the Saturday and Leith on the Sunday.

Had a wonderful day out at the craft fair in Gullane. As usual, the other crafters were very friendly and there were quite a few familiar faces I managed to catch up with.

I tried out a new way to display my jewellery at this fair, using two trees (one Christmas and one jewellery display) to show off my jewellery. It takes a little longer to set up with the trees, but they do look rather cool :-)

The day was made all the more enjoyable by the lovely stories told by Mara from Toto Tales. I also particularly loved the leatherwork done by Simon from RootCraft Leather, I may have to pick something up from him in the near future.

I also managed to pick up a few Christmas presents at the fair, so that’s one more thing out of the way.

I’ll be back in Gullane again on the 12th, so I’m looking forward to that a lot and I expect it to be very busy a little closer to Christmas.
